Duplicate vs triplicate — which do you need? A duplicate invoice book gives you an original for the customer and one copy for your records. A triplicate book adds a third copy, useful if you need to keep a copy at the till as well as in your main filing system, or if your bookkeeper requires a separate set. If you're VAT registered, look for our tax invoice books, which include the fields required by SARS for a valid tax invoice.

Most of our invoice books are self-carbonised, meaning no loose carbon sheets to lose or replace — write on the top sheet and the copy comes through automatically. Sizes range from A6 for mobile traders and market stalls, up to A4 for full-page detailed invoicing.

Once you've invoiced a customer, you may also need to issue a credit note if goods are returned, or a delivery book to confirm goods arrived.
