Board pads and flip chart pads give presenters, teachers and meeting facilitators large-format sheets built for standing easels, with each page tearing off cleanly once it's done. Welkom Business Machines stocks A3 and A4 board pads from Grafton and Butterfly in white, bright and pastel colours.

A board pad is heavier than a standard paper pad, since it needs to handle marker pens without bleeding through to the next sheet and stand up to being flipped repeatedly during a meeting or class. The 160gsm and similar weights in our range are built specifically for this kind of use.

Plain vs coloured board pads — white flip chart pads are the standard for business meetings and presentations, while coloured and Day Glo options are popular in classrooms and workshops for keeping content visually organised across different topics or sessions. Black board pads, used with our chalk markers, offer a chalkboard-style alternative for menus, signage and creative displays.

For everyday note-taking and smaller-format writing, our standard paper pads are a better fit. Board pads work well alongside whiteboard markers and permanent markers, depending on the surface.
