160gsm cardboard and card stock gives you a heavier, more rigid paper for projects where standard copy paper is too flimsy — book covers, certificates, signage, craft projects and anything that needs to hold its shape or stand on its own. At roughly double the weight of standard 80gsm copy paper, 160gsm card has a noticeably stiffer feel without being as thick as true cardboard packaging stock. It still feeds through most inkjet printers and works well for hand-cutting, folding and gluing, making it a popular choice for school projects, scrapbooking, name tags and DIY craft work.

When to choose 160gsm over standard paper — if a project needs to be folded into a card, stood upright as a sign, or handled repeatedly without going limp, 160gsm is the better choice over standard 80gsm copy paper. For flat printing like letters, invoices and reports, our standard copy paper is the more economical option.
